Pipling is a proactive gardening app for iPhone, iPad, Android and the web. Its guide is Pip, a worm, who each day offers at most three small tending tasks based on the plants you actually have, your hardiness zone and the weather where you live. Point a camera at a plant in a nursery and Pipling answers whether it will do well at your house, before you buy it. There are no streaks, no shame and no red overdue badges: a garden nobody tended for a fortnight is a garden, not a failure.
