Accessibility
Pipling should work for every gardener.
This is where we say how far that is true today, how we measure it, and what is still wrong. Where something does not work yet, it is named here rather than left for you to discover.
What we aim for
WCAG 2.2 Level AA, on every surface: the iPhone and iPad apps, Apple Watch, Apple TV, Android phones and tablets, the web app at hq.pipling.app, and this site.
Conformance status: partially conforming. The exceptions below are known, ticketed and being worked on.

What we build in
- VoiceOver and TalkBack: every control has a spoken name that matches the words on screen.
- Larger text: the whole app scales to the largest accessibility sizes without clipping, and reflows to a single column at 320 CSS pixels.
- Contrast: text and meaningful graphics meet AA, and no state is carried by color alone — every one has a shape or a word too.
- Reduced motion: Pip stops bobbing and confetti stops falling when your device asks for less movement.
- Keyboard, D-pad and Switch Control: every flow can be finished without touching the screen, and no gesture is the only way to do anything.
- Captions: every Pip film ships with captions, and one without them is not published.
- Dark mode on every surface.
If something is in your way
Write to us and say what you were trying to do and what happened. A person reads it, and an accessibility problem goes to the front of the queue — it is not a feature request.
If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can raise it with the enforcement body in your country under the European Accessibility Act.
